I found the perfect van online. It is within our budget, has only 77,000 miles, is my favorite minivan color, leather seats etc.
We went to go check it out at the dealership that I found it at only to be told that it was at another dealership two hours away. They told us it wasn't a big deal to move it here so we asked them to do it. The catch was that all of the price negotiations had to happen before it was moved. If it arrived and we wanted it, the price was already fixed. If it arrived and we didn't want it, we could walk away.
Here are the pictures:

Today they called us and told us the van had arrived. We pulled our Xterra up beside the van. It was beautiful. My heart was pounding. We were so lucky to find such a great van!!! The electronic door opened on the side and there it was. A huge gaping hole. Not just a tiny little hole, but a gigantic hole in the back of the drivers side chair. It was probably 2 feet square. You could see the guts of the chair. I gasped. The salesman tried to brush off the fact that there was a hole in the van. He had the audacity to tell us that it was a minor cosmetic flaw.
Ha.
So much for the perfect van.
Back to craigslist for round two.

This is terrible. I hope you can find something else. It almost sounds like you are having the same amount of luck as I am right now.
Meredith, it's been FOREVER since I've looked at your blog, but Congratulations are in order for your new little man, and both of your boys are definitely adorable!! Hope you guys are doing well!
I wish you could have gotten a picture of the huge gaping hole! wow! what a crazy salesperson. why wouldn't he mention that before he took the trip to lubbock to have you look at the van?!?! as if that wouldn't be a problem for buying it!!! duh!
Good luck on your fan search.
